The Opportunity
NE Fircroft are partnering with a specialist engineering consultancy at the forefront of Australia’s evolving energy landscape. Working across a growing portfolio of grid connection and power system projects, you’ll play a key role supporting the integration of renewables, large-scale industrial loads and future energy systems.
This is not a narrow modelling role. You’ll be trusted to lead and deliver complex studies, contribute to technical strategy and directly influence project outcomes across generation, transmission and distribution networks.

Role: Senior Power Systems Engineer – Grid & Renewables
Location: Perth, WA
Salary: Negotiable + flexible working arrangements
The Role
- Lead and deliver advanced power system studies including:
- Grid connection assessments & performance standards
- System strength, transient and network studies
- Generator and plant compliance validation
- Network event investigations and modelling
- Insulation coordination, motor starting and protection studies
What You Bring
- Strong experience in power system modelling and analysis
- Proficiency with tools such as PowerFactory, PSCAD, PSSE or similar
- Background across renewables, utilities, mining or oil & gas
- Solid understanding of Australian grid rules, standards and connection processes
- A proactive mindset with the ability to operate autonomously and engage clients
