Hiring: Senior Process Safety & Risk Engineer
Location: Ras Laffan / Doha, Qatar
Contract: Initial 2 Years (Extendable)
Schedule: 8–10 Hours/Day, Sunday–Thursday
Rotation: 12 Weeks ON / 2 Weeks OFF (Single Status)
Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Safety & Risk Engineer to support company’s onshore and offshore assets by deploying and implementing process safety, loss prevention, and risk engineering programs. The role will focus on ensuring compliance with company standards while supporting operations, brownfield projects, and major capital projects.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Implement Process Safety, Loss Prevention, and Risk Management programs across assigned assets.
✅ Review engineering documents, project deliverables, and interface documents to ensure compliance with safety standards.
✅ Lead and facilitate:
  • HAZID
  • HAZOP
  • SIL Studies
  • QRA
  • What-If Reviews
  • Risk Assessments
✅ Support Safety Case and Barrier Management activities.
✅ Participate in EPC, commissioning, startup, and brownfield modification projects.
✅ Review and approve Management of Change (MOC) requests.
✅ Monitor Process Safety KPIs and recommend corrective actions.
✅ Support the implementation of:
  • Manage Operations Risk (MOR)
  • Process Safety Frameworks
  • Risk Engineering Programs
✅ Represent Process Safety in project reviews including:
  • HAZID
  • HAZOP
  • SIL
  • QRA
  • 3D Model Reviews
Requirements
🎓 Bachelor's Degree in:
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Safety Engineering
  • Related Engineering Discipline
✅ Minimum 8 years of experience in:
  • Process Safety
  • Risk Management
  • Technical Safety
  • Loss Prevention
  • Oil & Gas Industry
✅ Strong experience in:
  • HAZOP
  • HAZID
  • SIL Studies
  • QRA
  • MOC Reviews
  • Process Safety Management (PSM)
  • Barrier Management
✅ Exposure to EPC, Commissioning, and Startup phases is highly preferred.
✅ Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
✅ Fluent English communication (written and spoken).
