Job Description
Job Title: Senior Reservoir well operations Services
Location: Basra, Iraq
Rotation: 14/14 or 28/28
Duration: 1 year contract and possibility of extension
Activities:
The Reservoir Engineer position is responsible for:
- Know, respect and ensure compliance with the Company's Code of Conduct. - Participate to all initiatives improving and maintaining environmental and energy efficiency performance measured as per ISO14001 and ISO50001 standards. - The Reservoir Well Operations Engineer supports the execution of well and production operations by monitoring well performance, contributing to intervention programs (workovers, ESP, PLT), and assisting in production optimization. The role participates in well preparation (SOR/WSOR inputs), start-up, and follow-up of well operations, while ensuring proper data acquisition and interpretation to improve reservoir understanding and field performance

Qualifications/Experience required:
- Master’s or equivalent level
- Technical skills required for the position: The role requires solid technical skills in well performance analysis, production monitoring, and intervention design, including knowledge of ESP systems, PLT, and well testing. It also involves understanding drilling and completion operations, reservoir surveillance data, and basic reservoir engineering principles to support operational decision-making.
- Behavioral competencies required for the position: The role requires strong teamwork and coordination skills, as it operates at the interface between subsurface and operations. Good communication and responsiveness are essential in an operational environment, along with proactivity, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities to handle day-to-day field challenges effectively.
- Language skills required for the position: Fluent English
- Certification required for the position: No specific certification is required; the role typically requires an engineering degree, with skills and competencies developed through operational exposure and experience.
- Specific knowledge required for the position: Strong technical background in Reservoir operation
- Level of experience required for the position: Experience of 5 to 10 years in reservoir engineering with prior positions in operational affiliates
