Rotation: 14/14 or 28/28

Job Description
Job Title: Senior Reservoir well operations Services
Location: Basra, Iraq
Rotation: 14/14 or 28/28
Duration: 1 year contract and possibility of extension
Activities:
Main activities
- Lead the HSE management system implementation to ensure safe, compliant, and incident-free operations aligned with Company
HSE Golden Rules.
- Ensure full compliance with Companies HSE standards, Iraqi regulations, and international standards (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001).
- Define and monitor HSE KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as single point of accountability for HSE performance of the 1.2 GW solar plant.
- Conduct risk assessments for all O&M activities.
- Acts as the Deputy RSES onsite
Operational activities : Develop, implement and enforce:
- Permit to Work (PTW) system
- LOTO procedures
- SIMOPS coordination rules
Lead:
- Incident investigations (including High Potential events)
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Corrective/preventive action plans
Monitor contractor HSE performance:
- Audit contractor compliance
- Validate method statements and risk assessments
- Enforce HSE clauses
Conduct regular:
- Site inspections
- Safety tours/ Joint safety tours
- HSE audits
Ensure environmental compliance:
- Waste management
- Hazardous materials handling
- Spill prevention
Define and deploy emergency response plans:
- Fire, electrical incidents, extreme weather
- Coordination with local authorities
Manage HSE reporting:
- Daily / weekly / monthly reporting / as needed
- Incident reporting in company systems (MySafety4All etc.)
Other activities
- Promote strong HSE culture and leadership visibility across all teams.
- Develop HSE competency and training programs for local workforce.
- Support operational teams in integrating HSE into maintenance planning.
- Lead safety campaigns and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications/Experience required:
- Bachelor's or equivalent level
- Minimum 10–12 years in HSE in energy / industrial sector
- Minimum 5 years in HSE leadership role
- Experience on large-scale utility projects (>500 MW) preferred
Technical Skills:
- Renewable energy / solar PV operations
- Middle East HSE practices and regulations
- Strong knowledge of:
- HSE management systems (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001)
- Power plant / solar PV risks
- Electrical safety (HV/MV/LV)
- PTW / LOTO systems
- Experience in:
- Incident investigation and RCA
- Contractor HSE management
- Risk assessment methodologies
- Familiar with:
- International standards and best practices
- NEBOSH / IOSH (or equivalent) – mandatory
- ISO 45001 / 14001 auditor – preferred
- Electrical safety certification – preferred
Soft skills:
- Strong leadership and safety culture advocacy
- Ability to influence and enforce compliance
- High level of rigor and accountability
- Communication in multicultural environments
- English: fluent
- Arabic: mandatory (operational environment)
