Contract period: 01.01.2026 - 31.12.2026
Location: Stavanger
Main tasks:
- Follow up the power management delivery including one OFTO and one WFO PMS and its interfaces.
- General automation and telecom disciplines at the offshore substation, onshore substation and overall electrical system
- Contractors and ensuring compliance of employers requirements of the contractors’ deliveries.
- Lead reviewer of all automation and telecom documentation delivered for offshore substation, onshore substation and overall electrical system.
- Follow up contractors development of the OT related hardware within the scope of the substations and electrical system packages.
- Ensure the substations and electrical system packages deliverables align and comply with the wider project cybersecurity requirements.
- Oversee data network design to ensure the substations and electrical system networks aligns with the wider project architecture.
- Maintaining technical development value whist maintaining within the contractual boundaries.
- Maintaining communication of technical issues and topics with non technical members of the Project.
- Willingness to travel to client and contractor offices and to offshore sites during construction as requested.
- Technical packages which includes: offshore substation, overall electrical system, cable monitoring system, onshore substation, grid connection, WTG and power Park
- Controller interface, further interface to O&M base and the top level SCADA.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in automation discipline or similar.
- Written and spoken English. Additional European languages is a plus.
- 10 years experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in substation automation, telecoms, networks, or similar roles within offshore wind or power generation projects.
- Experience with development, deployment and testing of SCADA platform, signal testing and full scale integration testing.
- Hands on experience with data protocol development, deployment and testing, particularly : IEC 61850 and OPC UA.
- IEC61850 network and file configuration follow up.
- Practical understanding of the main Cyber security IEC62443 standard and the Purdue model.
- Proven experience with data network design and management, telecommunication systems, power management and substation protection systems.
- Experience managing technical and commercial documentation.
- GWO Basic Safety Training.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to oversee and guide contractors.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multiple project packages.
- Proactive problem-solver and team player with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
