Position Overview
We are seeking an highly experienced Senior Technologist II – System Engineer to support and advance our global infrastructure operations. This is a senior-level, hands-on technical role requiring deep expertise in Microsoft enterprise technologies, identity management, automation, and large-scale systems engineering.
The ideal candidate is a technical leader who can work independently with minimal supervision, manage complex systems, contribute significantly to critical IT projects, and serve as a Tier 3 escalation resource. This role operates in a hybrid environment with on-site participation required for meetings and key activities.

Position Overview
We are seeking an highly experienced Senior Technologist II – System Engineer to support and advance our global infrastructure operations. This is a senior-level, hands-on technical role requiring deep expertise in Microsoft enterprise technologies, identity management, automation, and large-scale systems engineering.
The ideal candidate is a technical leader who can work independently with minimal supervision, manage complex systems, contribute significantly to critical IT projects, and serve as a Tier 3 escalation resource. This role operates in a hybrid environment with on-site participation required for meetings and key activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, administer, and maintain enterprise infrastructure systems supporting global operations, including Windows Server environments, Azure cloud services, Microsoft 365 platforms, and virtualization technologies such as Azure and VMware vSphere.
- Manage identity and access services across Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), DNS, and DHCP, ensuring secure authentication, authorization, and system integrations.
- Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Intune, and OneDrive, supporting messaging, collaboration, and endpoint management in alignment with security and governance best practices.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize automation solutions using PowerShell and tools such as Ansible or Orchestrator to enhance operational efficiency, reliability, and consistency.
- Analyze system events, logs, monitoring data, and performance metrics to diagnose complex issues, identify trends, and implement preventative solutions.
- Act as a Tier 3 escalation resource for critical infrastructure issues, participating in on‑call rotations and providing after‑hours support as required.
- Lead or contribute significantly to enterprise IT initiatives, independently managing assigned projects while working closely with infrastructure, communications, business systems, and desktop support teams.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge base materials to support ongoing operations and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfer, and training to team members, and communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 15 years of total IT experience (required).
- 10+ years of experience administering Windows Active Directory environments.
- 10+ years of experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell required; Ansible/Orchestrator preferred).
- 7+ years of experience analyzing system logs, events, and metrics for troubleshooting and reporting.
- 7+ years of experience supporting Azure or vSphere hypervisors in large, distributed environments.
- 5+ years of experience working with structured data formats such as XML, JSON, YAML, or WQL.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with messaging and email systems (Exchange Online, on‑prem SMTP, Mimecast).
- Patch management and monitoring tools experience (SCCM, Ivanti, SolarWinds, SCOM, Azure Arc).
- Exposure to merger and acquisition (M&A) integration activities.
- Relevant technical certifications.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (rare).
