Location: Maasbracht, Netherlands – on-site

Role Overview For a large-scale high-voltage project in Maasbracht, an experienced Site Manager is required. The project involves the construction of a 380 kV high-voltage substation, forming part of a key node in the European electricity grid.
The Site Manager is responsible for the daily management and coordination of all activities on the construction site, ranging from civil works to installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
The role is both operational and coordinative, with direct responsibility for progress, safety, and quality on site.

The Site Manager is responsible for the daily management and coordination of all activities on the construction site, ranging from civil works to installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.

Responsibilities
- Managing daily site activities on a 380 kV high-voltage project
- Coordinating civil, electrical, and commissioning work
- Leading multiple contractors and installation teams on site
- Monitoring schedule, budget, progress, and quality
- Ensuring compliance with HSE and safety regulations
- Reviewing work methods, risk assessments, and execution plans
- Coordinating interfaces between different technical disciplines
- Leading site meetings and progress discussions with stakeholders
- Overseeing logistics, material flows, and site activities
- Supporting QA/QC processes, inspections, and handover items
- Supervising pre-commissioning, testing, and energisation
- Reporting progress and escalating issues to project management

- Multiple contractors active simultaneously on one site
- Strong focus on safety, planning, and integration
- Working within a critical energy infrastructure environment
- Completed technical education (Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or similar)
- You will be requireed to hold the VCA-VOL (Dutch HSE Certification) we can assist with sorting this
- 8–15 years of experience in high-voltage projects (220–380 kV)
- Experience in site or construction management
- Knowledge of GIS/AIS, transformers, and cable systems
- Experience with commissioning and energisation
- Strong HSE background
- Experience in multi-contractor environments
- Practical, decisive, and organisationally strong
- Two-year large-scale high-voltage project in the Netherlands
