An experienced Site Planner is currently sought to support a major project based in Cooma, NSW. FIFO from most East Coast locations. This is initially a 14:7 roster to the Cooma based office, after a period of time in the office, this role will be site based. 7:7 roster considered for local candidates.
The Planner will play a key role in the planning, scheduling, and progress control of site-based construction and installation activities. Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Subcontractors, and Client representatives, the successful candidate will ensure that work is executed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with contractual milestones.

The Planner will play a key role in the planning, scheduling, and progress control of site-based construction and installation activities. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed site-level construction schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, and ALICE Technologies for construction sequencing, optimisation, and scenario analysis.
- Monitor and analyse site progress against baseline schedules, identifying risks, delays, and opportunities for optimisation.
- Utilise ALICE to model construction methodologies, resource constraints, and sequencing options to support informed decision-making and productivity improvements.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, including earned value analysis, productivity metrics, manpower forecasting, and schedule performance indicators.
- Produce and maintain look-ahead schedules to support efficient resource allocation and site coordination.
- Interface with site management, subcontractors, and client representatives to align planning activities and mitigate schedule impacts.
- Integrate subcontractor programmes into the master schedule, ensuring alignment with key milestones and contractual obligations.
- Support claims preparation, delay analysis, and Extension of Time (EOT) submissions where required.
- Ensure planning and scheduling activities comply with contract requirements and internal procedures.
- Assist with commissioning planning and coordination through to project completion.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in project planning and scheduling on major infrastructure or energy projects
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, with solid capability in MS Project and Excel.
- Demonstrated experience in site-based project controls and construction planning.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and resource-driven scheduling.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
