Site Subcontracts Manager | Major Industrial EPC Project | South of France
We are seeking an experienced Site Subcontracts Manager to join the Site Management Team for a major industrial EPC project in the South of France. This is a key site-based position responsible for overseeing the commercial and contractual management of construction subcontractors throughout the execution phase of the project.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring effective subcontract administration, cost control, change management, and contractual compliance while supporting the successful delivery of a large-scale industrial facility.

We are seeking an experienced Site Subcontracts Manager to join the Site Management Team for a major industrial EPC project in the South of France. This is a key site-based position responsible for overseeing the commercial and contractual management of construction subcontractors throughout the execution phase of the project.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring effective subcontract administration, cost control, change management, and contractual compliance while supporting the successful delivery of a large-scale industrial facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the contractual and commercial administration of construction subcontractors across:
- Mechanical installation works
- Piping installation
- Structural steel erection
- Equipment installation
- Insulation and painting activities
- Electrical & Instrumentation works
- Implement and maintain subcontract management procedures on site.
- Manage contractual correspondence and maintain accurate project records.
- Organize and participate in regular meetings with subcontractors.
- Evaluate, negotiate, and track variations, change orders, and additional work scopes.
- Support claim prevention, mitigation, and resolution activities.
- Review and validate weekly progress reports and monthly payment applications.
- Monitor and report site-related costs and subcontract performance.
- Track quantities and ensure accurate measurement of completed works.
- Manage subcontract close-out activities, including final account reconciliation and as-built quantities.
- Support the tendering, negotiation, and award process for outstanding subcontract packages.
- Significant experience in contract administration and subcontract management on large industrial or EPC construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, commercial management, and change order processes.
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary subcontractors during site execution.
- Knowledge of cost control, progress measurement, and contract close-out activities.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and manage multiple interfaces simultaneously.
