Solution Architect (Network & Connectivity) Location: Houston, TX 77002 (Onsite)
Duration: 6–7 Month Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week
Rate: Up to $83/hour

Overview We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to design and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards. This role focuses on network automation and enterprise connectivity, ensuring solutions are secure, future-proof, and optimized for total cost of ownership.

You will play a key role in translating business needs into end-to-end technical solutions while driving architecture excellence across projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the single point of contact for solution architecture across IT projects
  • Design and integrate business processes, data, applications, infrastructure, and security into cohesive solutions
  • Develop and maintain high-level architecture designs aligned with enterprise standards
  • Review and approve detailed technical designs from project teams
  • Guide teams on architecture standards, best practices, and governance
  • Participate in Architecture Review Boards and support enterprise architecture initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and data privacy requirements (e.g., GDPR)
  • Champion Security by Design and Privacy by Design principles
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and balance competing priorities
  • Evaluate tools, support vendor selection, and oversee solution integration and data alignment
  • Monitor technology trends and ensure solutions align with evolving IT strategies
Solution Scope
  • Enterprise network automation solutions
  • Enterprise connectivity tools and Single Source of Truth implementations
  • Infrastructure architecture, design, and operational solutions
  • Workflow integration and CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure
Required Experience
  • 7–10+ years of IT experience, including some leadership exposure
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business value
Technical Expertise
  • Deep knowledge of networking technologies (Routing, TCP/IP, SSL)
  • Experience with AWS & Azure cloud networking (VPC/VNET, VPN, Transit Gateway)
  • Familiarity with virtual firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto)
  • Knowledge of Cisco data center design
  • Experience with Aruba ESP (Central, ClearPass, wireless platforms)
  • Strong background in network automation (Ansible, Infrastructure as Code, APIs, GitHub)
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure
  • Knowledge of identity & authentication (SAML, PingID, Entra ID)
  • Experience with smart inventory tools (e.g., NetBox) and integrations
  • Strong documentation and service design capabilities
