Structural Designer – Mining | Brisbane | 6-Month Contract

Take on an exciting role designing critical structural solutions for mining infrastructure. As a Structural Designer, you’ll develop accurate 2D and 3D CAD models focused on concrete and structural steel for industrial buildings and equipment support structures. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement based in Brisbane, blending focused design work with team collaboration across major mining projects.

Required Skills:
  • Expertise in designing industrial structures including buildings, foundations, retaining walls, and material handling supports
  • Proficiency with 3D modelling software such as Tekla or Smart3D
  • Strong skills in 2D drafting tools like MicroStation
  • Experience preparing and reviewing material take-offs and requisitions
  • Ability to work independently while ensuring compliance with design standards and regulations

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or international equivalent)
  • 5–8 years of relevant design experience; candidates with 9–12 years also considered
  • Familiarity with applicable installation codes and standards
