Our client a Global Energy Operator in Perth CBD is currently seeking a Subsea Facilities Planner to join them for a 2 Years contract.
Our client is seeking an experienced Subsea Facilities Planner to join the Capital Projects Cost Engineering and Project Services (CEPS) team. This role reports to the Australian CEPS function and works closely with Project Management and Delivery Teams across the capital portfolio.
The Capital Projects delivery model is focused on achieving top quartile, competitive, predictable, and reliable outcomes, enabled by strong Execution and Functional Teams operating with a portfolio-wide perspective.
We are looking for a Planner with experience supporting offshore facilities scopes of work of varying maturity across a capital projects portfolio, with particular expertise in Subsea Systems.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and performance management activities, supporting Delivery Teams to drive efficient and predictable project outcomes.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and performance management activities, supporting Delivery Teams to drive efficient and predictable project outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Logical Planning and Scheduling of work scope activities
- Development and maintenance of Basis of Schedule
- Schedule analysis, trending, change management, and contingency planning
- Schedule risk management, including probabilistic risk analysis
- Development and maintenance of integrated project schedules
- Benchmarking schedules across scopes of work
- Progress tracking and performance measurement
- Develop and maintain detailed work plans and execution schedules across Pre-FEED, FEED, and Execution phases, aligned to Capital Project lifecycle requirements
- Clearly communicate schedule risks and issues, and propose effective mitigation strategies
- Leverage digital tools and data-driven approaches, including emerging AI-enabled capabilities, to enhance schedule quality, improve forecasting accuracy, and support better decision-making.
- Proactively engage stakeholders to identify schedule risks, constraints, and opportunities
- Lead schedule reporting, including variance analysis and performance trending
- Perform probabilistic schedule risk analysis (e.g., Monte Carlo simulations, sensitivities, scenario planning) to quantify uncertainty and inform contingency decisions
- Collaborate closely with Cost teams to align WBS and OBS structures for integrated schedule and cost forecasting
- Review, validate, and challenge contractor schedules, including risks, assumptions, and trends, prior to integration into the planning system
- Support business planning cycles, monthly reporting, and funding processes
- Lead benchmarking activities, incorporating lessons learned and establishing competitive performance targets
- Contribute to contract and project close-out reports, including schedule benchmarking insights
- Job Knowledge and Proficiency – Comprehensive knowledge of the offshore oil & gas industry, with experience supporting upstream/subsea facilities and well programs. Demonstrated high-degree of technical skills in the following areas: planning and scheduling and analysis (including probabilistic risk analysis). Hands-on experience with scheduling software (Primavera P6) and probabilistic schedule risk-analysis platforms. Familiarity with benchmarking methodologies and data sources to establish competitive schedule metrics. Fundamental awareness of cost processes and interfaces with planning.
- Project Experience - Experienced and knowledgeable supporting major capital projects, including the principles and associated processes, practices, or tools. Proven track record in FEED and Execution planning. Knowledge of industry and professional trends and best practices.
- Deliver Results – Demonstrated track record of delivering results in Capital Projects. Proactively engages to clarify expectations and works diligently to reach project outcomes. Aligns with and holds self accountable to achieve established metrics. Adjusts and pivots based on stakeholder input. Proactively addresses issues and barriers, applying a solution-oriented outlook.
