Project: Deepwater Development (Angola Block 20/11)
Location: Saint‑Quentin‑en‑Yvelines, France (with international missions)
Business Line: Exploration & Production
Reporting to: SURF Package Manager
Functional Environment: Major Deepwater Capital Project (USD 10Bn)

  Purpose of the Role As Subsea Structures Package Delivery Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the on‑time, safe and compliant delivery of all subsea structures within the SURF scope, including:

  • FLETs, ILTs
  • Anchoring piles
  • Lateral Buckling Mitigation (LBM) systems
  • Associated spools and jumpers
You will operate at the interface of design, fabrication, SPS integration, QA/QC and offshore installation, acting as a key contributor to project delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities HSE Leadership
  • Promote and demonstrate a strong safety culture, leading by example across project and contractor teams
  • Ensure strict compliance with HSE rules, ethics and Code of Conduct
  • Participate actively in fabrication, load‑out and sail‑away risk assessments, ensuring closure of actions
  • Maintain mandatory HSE training and requirements
Subsea Structures Delivery
  • Review and challenge design dossiers for subsea structures, spools and jumpers
  • Monitor fabrication readiness, including material availability, procedures, risk assessments and SPS equipment integration
  • Track fabrication progress versus RFLO and offshore campaign dates, maintaining an up‑to‑date expediting and constraints register
  • Coordinate interfaces with:
    • SPS equipment suppliers
    • Installation and operations teams
    • Metrology and offshore logistics
  • Anticipate risks and propose mitigation and recovery plans when required
Fabrication Yard & QA/QC Oversight
  • Participate in weekly progress meetings with Contractors and Company site teams
  • Support QA/QC activities:
    • Review ITPs
    • Follow NDT and dimensional controls
    • Witness key hold points
    • Manage punch lists, NCRs and concessions
  • Ensure Manufacturing Record Books / Data Books are complete, accurate and ready for handover (CoCs, traceability, weld/NDT records, as‑built drawings)
Readiness & Handover
  • Prepare and participate in key readiness reviews:
    • Fabrication start
    • MRR
    • Load‑out and sail‑away
  • Support load‑out, transport and offshore preparation
  • Deliver REX, lessons learned and close‑out reports at project milestones
Cross‑Package & Project Support
  • Support expediting of other packages when required by the SURF Package Manager
  • Contribute to cross‑package coordination on logistics, installation interfaces and documentation constraints
  • Perform missions to fabrication yards or suppliers worldwide as needed
Reporting & Communication
  • Provide clear, accurate and timely reporting to the SURF Package Manager
  • Contribute to project dashboards, progress reports and management presentations
  • Escalate HSE, schedule, quality or interface issues proactively
Key Performance Indicators
  • On‑time delivery of subsea structures vs RFLO/offshore need dates
  • Fabrication progress and readiness reporting quality
  • NCR/concession closure performance
  • Data Book completeness at sail‑away
  • HSE performance within scope
Qualifications & Experience Education

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent
Experience

  • Minimum 15 years in Oil & Gas
  • More than 10 years in similar deepwater SURF delivery roles
  • Proven fabrication yard and offshore interface exposure
Languages

  • English: fluent (mandatory)
  • French: conversational (advantage)
Additional Assets
