As a System Optimization Engineer, you will focus on optimizing power efficiency for Windows systems running on company platforms. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze power consumption and identify opportunities for improvement to ensure efficient system performance and longer battery life across a wide range of use cases.
1. Conduct power profiling and performance assessments on Windows-based systems powered by comapny processors to understand power consumption patterns.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for optimization and implement strategies to improve power efficiency without compromising performance.
3. Develop and execute tests to measure power usage in different system states (idle, active, high-load) and under various real-world scenarios.
4. Provide recommendations for optimizing power management technologies, ensuring that the system performs efficiently while consuming minimal power, especially in mobile and battery-powered environments.
5. Analyze the interaction between hardware components (CPU, GPU, memory) and system software to improve overall power consumption.
6. Work closely with hardware, software, and firmware teams to ensure that power-saving features are integrated and functioning effectively.
7. Generate reports on power efficiency, presenting actionable insights and strategies to enhance battery life and system performance.
8. Support ongoing improvements in battery life optimization, particularly for company-powered devices running Windows.
