Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer with a strong petrochemical/refinery background to develop, write, and edit technical training materials, operating procedures, and related documentation. This role requires collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs) and engineering teams to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer with a strong petrochemical/refinery background to develop, write, and edit technical training materials, operating procedures, and related documentation. This role requires collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs) and engineering teams to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain technical manuals, operating procedures, and training materials.
- Collaborate with SMEs and engineering personnel to gather information and validate content.
- Review P&IDs, PFDs, drawings, and specifications to integrate into documentation.
- Organize and format content for clarity, conciseness, and consistency using Microsoft templates and Visio.
- Recommend revisions to published materials and maintain version control.
- Select or create diagrams, charts, and illustrations to support technical content.
- Maintain records and ensure compliance with documentation standards.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years in petrochemical/refinery environment; 6–8 years in technical writing.
- Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent experience (5–9 years related work).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Visio, TruView; Adobe Acrobat; Documentum; image editing tools.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with pumps, valves, reactors, stack columns, and process units.
- Exceptional written communication and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and build strong relationships with SMEs.
- Strong organizational skills and integrity in handling sensitive information.
