Role Overview
The Technical Writers Coordinator will oversee and manage a team of technical writers responsible for producing, reviewing, and maintaining high-quality documentation across all phases of FPSO EPC projects. This role ensures consistency, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines. The coordinator acts as the bridge between engineering disciplines, project management, and documentation teams to deliver clear, precise, and timely technical content.

This role ensures consistency, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines. The coordinator acts as the bridge between engineering disciplines, project management, and documentation teams to deliver clear, precise, and timely technical content.
Key Responsibilities
- Documentation Management: Coordinate the creation, editing, and approval of technical documents including manuals, procedures, specifications, and reports.
- Team Leadership: Supervise technical writers, assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide mentorship to ensure quality output.
- Standards Compliance: Ensure all documentation aligns with EPC industry standards, classification society requirements, and client specifications.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to gather technical input and translate it into clear documentation.
- Quality Assurance: Implement document control processes, style guides, and templates to maintain consistency across deliverables.
- Training & Development: Conduct workshops and training sessions for writers and engineers on documentation best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline documentation processes and adopt digital tools for efficiency.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Communication, or related field.
- Experience: Good experience in technical writing, with experience in coordination or supervisory role within EPC or oil & gas projects.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of FPSO systems, EPC workflows, and offshore engineering documentation requirements.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in document management systems (e.g., SharePoint, Documentum), MS Office Suite, and technical authoring tools.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities; strong attention to detail; ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Languages: Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage.
