Tool Crib Attendant

Overview: Join a high-performance manufacturing facility specializing in advanced machining for industrial gas turbine components. As a Tool Crib Attendant, you’ll support CNC and EDM operations by managing tooling inventory, maintaining organization, and ensuring machinists have the resources they need to meet tight production standards.

Shift: 2nd Shift (2-10pm) OR 3rd Shift (10pm-6am). Mon-Fri

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, issue, and track cutting tools, gauges, fixtures, and consumables used in precision machining
• Maintain accurate inventory records using digital systems; perform cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies
• Inspect tools for wear or damage and coordinate regrinding, calibration, or replacement
• Organize and label tooling for efficient access and workflow optimization
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and supervisors to ensure tooling availability for scheduled jobs
• Monitor tool usage trends and assist in forecasting procurement needs
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked tool crib environment
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to tooling management and shop efficiency

Qualifications:

• 1+ year experience in a tool crib, warehouse, or machining support role
• Familiarity with CNC tooling, precision gauges, and manufacturing consumables
• Basic computer skills; experience with ERP or inventory software preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Forklift certification a plus
