Deliver high‑quality technical training and competency assessment services to employees and customers. Ensure all training activities are conducted safely, consistently, and in accordance with organisational procedures, quality systems, and all applicable accreditation requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver internal and customer‑facing technical training programs, including endorsed, accredited, and bespoke courses.
- Conduct theoretical and practical competency assessments in line with internal standards and external awarding body requirements.
- Prepare and support bespoke training programs to meet customer or operational needs.
- Deliver product and application training to employees as required.
- Support customer‑facing presentations demonstrating training capability and technical expertise.
- Assist with training administration, including attendance records, competency documentation, certification, and course evaluations.
- Ensure all training equipment, tools, and rigs are safe, serviceable, and calibrated prior to use.
- Maintain training materials, procedures, and practical setups to ensure relevance and compliance.
- Complete all training‑related documentation in accordance with internal management systems, HSEQ requirements, and awarding body standards.
- Work closely with Training Managers, Technical Competency Leaders, and other trainers to ensure consistency of training delivery.
- Support internal and external audits related to training and competency as required.
- Actively contribute ideas to improve training effectiveness, efficiency, and safety.
- Promote and support continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all HSEQ policies, procedures, and standards during training activities.
- Promote safety leadership and awareness in training environments and at customer sites.
- Ensure equality of opportunity in access to training and development for all employees.
- Competency in Bolted Joint Integrity, including the use of torque and bolt tensioning equipment.
- Competent or working knowledge of on‑site machining practices using portable machine tools (desirable).
- Current BOSIET or equivalent offshore survival certification, or willingness to obtain and travel offshore as required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of lean principles and continuous improvement concepts.
- Valid driver’s licence and passport.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technician, supervisor, or technical engineering role within industrial services, maintenance, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience delivering technical training (classroom and practical) using documented technical and HSEQ procedures.
- Experience conducting competency assessments in line with documented requirements.
- Trainer or assessor experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Formal trade or technical qualification in a mechanical or maintenance discipline is desirable.
