Our Client, a Global Oil and Gas Operator is currently seeking a Systems Support Supervisor for a 12-month contract with potential to extend. This role will sit within Wheatstone Operations.

Role Purpose
The Systems Support Supervisor is accountable for the operational ownership, governance, and continuous improvement of training and competency systems and supporting processes across ABU Operations. The role ensures that approved training frameworks, job role profiles, and competency requirements are accurately executed within enterprise systems (e.g. CMS, Workday) and that users are supported through consistent, reliable, and efficient system outcomes.
This role provides functional supervision and subject matter leadership for training system execution, acting as the primary point of accountability for system integrity, data quality, pathway configuration, and user experience. The Systems Support Supervisor works closely with CA Specialists, Training Advisors, Operations leaders, and system owners to ensure workforce capability is supported and operational risk is effectively managed.

Key Accountabilities

Systems Ownership & Operational Oversight
  • Act as the operational owner for training and competency execution within CMS, Workday, and associated reporting tools.
  • Provide functional supervision and direction for system support activities, ensuring consistent and compliant execution of training pathways and job role profiles.
  • Ensure training system configurations accurately reflect approved frameworks, role requirements, and asset-specific needs.
  • Make decisions relating to back-office execution processes, system logic, and configuration standards.
Training Framework & Pathway Execution
  • Coordinate system build, validation, and rollout of new or revised pathways, ensuring minimal disruption to operational users.
  • Ensure assessment-only, credit, and equivalency pathways are correctly configured and clearly communicated.
Job Role Profiles & Training Needs Analysis
  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and modification of job role profiles within training systems.
  • Partner with Training Advisors and CA Specialists to ensure training needs analysis outputs are accurately translated into system requirements.
  • Ensure role-based training and competency requirements remain current, risk-based, and aligned with operational expectations.
Data Integrity, Reporting & Assurance
  • Ensure integrity, accuracy, and consistency of training and competency data across systems.
  • Work with system and reporting leads to define and deliver fit-for-purpose reporting for leaders, coordinators, and CA teams.
  • Support OE actions, audits, and assurance activities through provision of system data, reports, and documented evidence.
Process Excellence & User Experience
  • Drive continuous improvement in training system processes, removing waste and improving efficiency and reliability.
  • Champion a positive and consistent user experience for learners, leaders, and administrators interacting with training systems.
  • Identify, monitor, and act on key measures related to execution quality, data integrity, and user satisfaction.
Functional Leadership, Coaching & Stakeholder Support
  • Provide coaching and functional guidance to CMS administrators and CA Specialists on system processes, quality standards, and best practice.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex system or pathway issues impacting operational delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Operations leaders, system owners, and external providers to support effective delivery.
Governance & Documentation
  • Author, maintain, and govern controlled documentation relating to workplace training systems, pathways, and execution standards.
  • Ensure training system processes align with internal controls, competency assurance requirements, and operational governance expectations.

Candidate Selection Criteria

Job Knowledge and Proficiency - Comprehensive knowledge and experience in vocational and educational training as it applies to the Australian oil and gas industry. Demonstrated experience supervising or owning operational support systems in a technical or operational environment and a strong understanding of training, competency, or compliance systems (e.g. CMS, Workday, LMS platforms).
