Turnover Engineer Location: Antwerp, Belgium
Reporting Line: Completion and Turnover Coordinator
Employment Type: Contract 
Duration: 12 months


About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Turnover Engineer to join our project team. This role is critical in ensuring the systematic acceptance and handover of the plant to the Owner, through effective management of completion and turnover processes, documentation, and database systems.


Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and populate the Completion & Turnover database.
  • Collect, index, and maintain inspection test packs and quality records to support phased handover.
  • Ensure delivery of the completions process in line with project schedule, procedures, and objectives.
  • Identify and resolve documentation deficiencies, liaising with the QC Manager and Turnover Coordinator.
  • Update the Completion & Turnover database in a timely manner.
  • Track and manage Punch List items.
  • Review engineering input data, generate discrepancy reports, and coordinate resolutions.
  • Provide system/database analysis and technical support to project users.
  • Maintain system integrity to ensure smooth integration of vendor and discipline data.
  • Import/export data for discrepancy/non-compliance evaluation and follow-up.
  • Upload and validate QC formats and punched items once properly compiled and signed off.
  • Monitor Quality Pack completion to ensure prompt system handover and highlight concerns.
  • Issue weekly status reports for planning and project management.
  • Control mechanical completion, certification, and punch listing activities using established tracking systems.
  • Assist in planning activities for mechanical completion and commissioning.
  • Actively support completion and handover activities to achieve project milestones.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Strong familiarity with Completion & Turnover management processes.
  • Solid background in database implementation within the construction sector.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with GoCompletions® (or equivalent system).
  • Strong IT skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel (formulae, pivot tables, filtering, sorting).
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and with external vendors.
