Position Overview
We are seeking a Turnaround Safety Coach to support safety operations during a major turnaround with our client in Pasadena, TX. The Safety Coach will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture, identifying and mitigating hazards, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and site-specific safety requirements. This role requires a hands-on presence in an industrial environment and strong communication skills to effectively engage with crews and leadership.

The Safety Coach will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture, identifying and mitigating hazards, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and site-specific safety requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a visible safety presence in the field during turnaround activities.
- Identify unsafe conditions, behaviors, and work practices; implement or recommend corrective actions.
- Coach and guide employees and contractors on safe work practices and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and company safety standards and procedures.
- Conduct safety observations, audits, and field verifications.
- Support risk management and system safety initiatives.
- Communicate safety concerns clearly and professionally to team members and supervisors.
- Build strong working relationships with turnaround teams and site leadership.
- Complete assignments independently and follow instructions to completion.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance throughout the turnaround period.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- OSHA 30 certification or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of occupational safety and health experience in an industrial or institutional environment.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA and NFPA standards, risk management, and system safety methods.
- Ability to recognize hazardous conditions and take appropriate corrective action.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proven ability to safely perform essential job functions.
- Must be able to communicate clearly in a field environment.
