Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM  (Night shift)            Rate:  $30 without benefits; $25 with benefits                                                                                            Duration: One Year (12 Months) (Renewable) Position Overview
The Welder is responsible for fabricating and welding filtration equipment, piping, and various structural components in accordance with blueprints, work orders, and industry welding standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge, independent decision-making, and strict adherence to safety and quality procedures. Welders at this level must demonstrate proficiency in multiple welding processes and may provide training to other team members. Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricate filtration equipment, piping, and structural components based on blueprints and work orders.
  • Interpret and correctly apply AWS welding symbols.
  • Select appropriate wire, shielding gas, wire-feed speeds, and voltage for optimal welding arc performance.
  • Perform welding processes including GMAW (MIG) and FCAW (Flux-Core) at a minimum.
  • Successfully complete and maintain AWS 1G Unlimited Thickness or ASME Section IX certification.
  • Operate pre-heat equipment, cutting torch, stud welder, and overhead crane.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company safety standards.
  • Complete and submit shop work orders, rework forms, and utilization reports, ensuring all hours worked are fully documented.
  • Provide training to other employees on specific product procedures as needed.
  • Identify and support resolution of drawings, bills of materials, NARs, routing issues, and ECN changes.
  • Support company policies, department procedures, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
  • Work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate initiative and urgency in problem solving.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of welding experience.
  • Proven knowledge of AWS welding symbols and codes.
  • Proficiency in GMAW and FCAW welding processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities related to fabrication tasks.
  • Computer literacy preferred.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to work night shifts (4x10 schedule).
  • Must maintain safe working habits and adhere to strict safety procedures.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work well within a team structure.
