About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Thermal Wellsite Supervisor to oversee field operations on thermal oil projects. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution of drilling, completions, and production-related activities within thermal operations (SAGD/CSS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite supervision of thermal well operations, including drilling, completions, workovers, and maintenance
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards
  • Coordinate contractors, service providers, and field personnel to maintain efficient workflow
  • Monitor daily operations, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Maintain accurate daily reporting, including operations, safety, and cost tracking
  • Lead safety meetings, hazard assessments, and incident investigations
  • Liaise with engineering, operations, and management teams to ensure alignment on project goals
Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years experience as a Wellsite Supervisor, with strong thermal (SAGD/CSS) background
  • Extensive knowledge of thermal drilling, completions, and production operations
  • Proven leadership and contractor management experience
  • Strong understanding of safety and regulatory requirements in Western Canada
  • Valid safety certifications (H2S Alive, First Aid, CSO, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with pad drilling and multi-well thermal developments
  • Background in heavy oil or oil sands operations
