Field locations: Around Alberta

Position Summary The Wireline Operator is responsible for supporting wireline logging, perforating, and completion operations at customer well sites throughout Alberta. This role involves preparing and maintaining wireline equipment, rigging up and rigging down field equipment, operating company vehicles, completing required documentation, and ensuring all work is performed safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will work closely with customers and field crews to deliver high-quality service while maintaining a strong commitment to HSE standards.

Position Summary The Wireline Operator is responsible for supporting wireline logging, perforating, and completion operations at customer well sites throughout Alberta. This role involves preparing and maintaining wireline equipment, rigging up and rigging down field equipment, operating company vehicles, completing required documentation, and ensuring all work is performed safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will work closely with customers and field crews to deliver high-quality service while maintaining a strong commitment to HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare wireline tools and equipment for field operations, including pre-job and post-job inspections.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wireline equipment, logging cable heads, and associated tools.
- Assist with rig-up and rig-down operations at well sites.
- Support wireline logging, perforating, and completion activities.
- Complete field tickets, service documentation, transportation records, and other required paperwork.
- Maintain effective communication with customers, supervisors, and field personnel.
- Operate company vehicles and equipment in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
- Assist with training and mentoring new field personnel as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in both the field and shop.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Hands on work experience in industrial/field role
- Valid Class 5 driver's license; Class 1 or 3 license with Air Brake endorsement is considered an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work on-call and travel to field locations for extended periods.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Basic computer proficiency for reporting and operational documentation.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass background and pre-employment screening.
- Previous wireline, slickline, completions, fracturing, coil tubing or other related oilfield services experience is considered an asset.
- Field-based role with travel from home to well sites.
- On-call schedule and irregular working hours as operational demands require.
- Exposure to various weather conditions and physically demanding work environments.
- Frequent lifting, equipment handling, and outdoor work.
