A global power business needed to appoint an MD for one of its UK divisions. NES was asked to undertake a confidential, exclusive retained search exercise to find the perfect fit for the role.
NES SOLUTION// As the company required a candidate with a niche skillset, including low and medium voltage sales knowledge, as well as experience of managing a market-leading business, we took an extremely targeted approach. We dedicated a search consultant full-time to the project and tasked a team of skilled researchers to identify companies that would contain the people with the specific skills required. Following an extensive search process, we compiled a shortlist of five potential candidates for the client. Our search consultant liaised with both parties, arranged interviews and ensured that the process ran smoothly.
Three people were invited for the second stage of client interviews, with one being chosen for a final stage interview and presentation. An offer was made and accepted by the candidate, who is now successfully performing the role.
A leading engineering, project management and consultancy company, needed to make in 100+ specialist hires for a project in Abu Dhabi, split into three major sections – island reclamation, offshore works and onshore works – each required differing technical expertise. The client chose to partner with NES as we have the capability to attract and process large numbers of candidates from around the world, within clear project timelines, something many of our competitors could not guarantee to do.
NES SOLUTION// We focused on the hardest to fill roles first, prioritising strategic hires such as engineering, project controls and construction management. We worked closely with our client, providing advice and support and ensuring new employees settled into their new roles and surroundings, improving staff retention.
Using our global infrastructure we successfully recruited all required engineers from India, the Philippines, Pakistan, South Africa, Canada, USA, UK, the Netherlands, Ukraine and Portugal. We mobilised all candidates to schedule and the client has since enlisted our services on two further projects in Abu Dhabi and an additional project in Qatar.
A Life Sciences company desperately needed to find a biostratigrapher with calcareous nannofossil and foraminifera experience, a highly scientific role which they had been unable to fill for over a year.
NES SOLUTION// NES researched the skills needed for this highly specialised role, studying research journals to find the biggest names in the industry. It was within one of these journals that we found the name of a candidate. We contacted the candidate directly for an initial discussion and their CV was subsequently put forward.
