Following a successful drilling exploration campaign offshore West Africa, our client was looking to develop a project which included an FPSO & FLNG facility serving an LNG terminal to produce LNG for export.
The client needed 50 specialists with varied discipline backgrounds, who needed to be sourced within just 3 months and had to be able to be easily transitioned internationally between each project phase, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. One of the project locations was China, creating further complexities when trying to orchestrate visas.
Our Solution
We engaged with our client at the very early stages of the scope, demonstrating our capability to support their hiring needs across the various disciplines and multiple locations involved.
Despite the impact of COVID-19, we were able to leverage our UK relationships and collaborate with our China office to agree on a service contract to support our client in China.
Our Operations team in China worked in partnership with our client as well as our contractors to ensure a smooth transition and integration from their home country into China. Our on-the-ground team have helped our contractors navigate cultural differences as well as language barriers. We also provided the necessary immigration advice and support for workers to enter and work in China compliantly.
