The Client's Hiring Challenges
The client had been selected to complete the Bank Pakong Power Replacement Project in Thailand.
The project consisted of replacing Unit 1 and Unit 2 with two single shaft combined cycle trains of approximately 704 megawatts. Due to COVID-19, our client struggled getting work permits and visa applications for contractors accepted, and severe delays were caused. The client needed full support with all mobility solutions, including visa verifications, work permits, tax compliance, tax submission and payroll services.

Account Management
NES Fircroft allocated an expert consultant with an existing strong relationship with the client. The consultant received support from our local assignment support and payroll teams.
Visa Support
On behalf of the client, we applied for all work visas and permits for the contractors, and we managed all documentation for the senior contractors in their home country and Thailand.
Contractor Care
When the contractors were all set to make the move, we provided logistical support, including organising all travel arrangements for flights, and orchestrating tests at PCR clinics in remote living locations.
Thanks to our compliance commitment, zero work permit and visa applications were rejected and we mobilised candidates within just one month during the challenging conditions of COVID-19.
The Results
Our top class guidance and support system meant we established a strong working relationship with the contractors. We ensured they made it to Thailand compliantly with the most up to date insurance that covered them in the COVID19 period, and that everything ran smoothly.
