Case Study - Onshore Wind
Recruiting Wind Technicians - Texas
Our client was operating an onshore wind farm in Texas and required several short-term contractors to keep the turbines at the site running at optimal capacity
Our client is a large-scale utility owner of power plants across the United States.
Their budget meant they had headcount restrictions and therefore the personnel needed to be highly experienced and capable of juggling a large workload. Our client’s internal talent acquisition team only dealt with permanent placements, and therefore could not deliver the scope.
NES Fircroft has operated in the North American marketplace for twenty years. During this time we have built a wealth of expertise in supplying experienced trades personnel to projects across the country.
Our years of experience in the technical trades market enabled us to quickly access experienced wind technicians who had previously represented other utility owners across the US and subsequently we provided the client with a flexible, contingent, contract labor solution to manage the maintenance of their wind turbine fleets.
Our support included:
- Mobilization and Logistics: Through our award-winning assignment support teams we were able to organise all required contractor logistics and mobilize contractors to site quickly when requested. We also provided trucks and temporary accommodation to ease logistics.
- Payroll: Our experienced finance teams understand how to manage a W2 payroll solution and ensured that contractors were classified correctly to generate accurate payroll.
The results of our support
We have placed a team of wind technicians who have been so successful that the client enlisted our support on further projects across their power generation project portfolio.
