Control Room Operator Responsibilities & Duties

- Monitor control panels and computer systems to ensure equipment is operating correctly
- Respond to alarms and system anomalies, taking necessary corrective actions
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks
- Record and report operational data for analysis and evaluation
- Coordinate with field operators and maintenance teams to resolve issues
- Implement operational procedures to optimize efficiency and safety
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or failures
- Update logs and documentation to reflect current operational status
- Assist in emergency response measures and incident investigations
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards
- Previous experience in a similar role or industry
- Advanced technical certifications related to the field
- Familiarity with SCADA systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency in operating and understanding computer systems
- Ability to work under pressure and in high-stress conditions
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulatory requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic technical training or certification
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent multitasking and time-management abilities
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Physical and mental stamina to handle extended periods of monitoring
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electronic systems
