For our client multinational RES Investor, I am conducting a recruitment process for the position Vice President – Renewable Project Finance Debt
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director or Vice President to join our Warsaw office. This senior role will focus on originating, structuring, and executing project finance debt investments for utility-scale renewable projects (solar, wind, BESS), initially in Poland, Hungary, and Romania, and supporting our expansion in the wider European region.

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director or Vice President to join our Warsaw office. This senior role will focus on originating, structuring, and executing project finance debt investments for utility-scale renewable projects (solar, wind, BESS), initially in Poland, Hungary, and Romania, and supporting our expansion in the wider European region.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate, structure, and execute project finance debt transactions for solar, wind, and BESS projects in Poland, Hungary, and Romania.
- Build relationships with developers, sponsors, and financial institutions across target markets, expanding our network as we grow in CEE and Western Europe.
- Negotiate term sheets, project finance documentation, and coordinate with internal/external advisors.
- Oversee transaction execution and ensure successful, timely closings.
- Monitor and manage the post-investment performance of portfolio assets.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute strategic perspectives to expand our renewable platform.
- Design and arrange further leverage structures (e.g. using renewable loan portfolios as collateral via securitization or structured finance mechanisms to obtain leverage) to optimize project-finance risk allocation and enhance lender/sponsor returns.
- At least 8–12 years of project finance debt experience in renewables (solar, wind, BESS), with a proven track record in Poland, Hungary, Romania, or other European markets.
- Strong experience closing renewable energy debt transactions in Europe, preferably within banks, or advisory firms.
- Advanced financial modelling and credit analysis capabilities.
- Knowledge of market/regulatory frameworks relevant to renewable energy in CEE and Western Europe.
- Experience negotiating LMA-standard documentation and financing agreements for renewables.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, or related field; master’s/CFA a plus.
- Excellent English; Polish, Hungarian, Romanian, or other European language skills an asset.
- Exceptional relationship management, negotiation, and leadership skills.
