We are working with our major oil and gas client, recruiting for an Engagement Coordinator to join them on an initial 2 year contract.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing co-ordination support to the Aboriginal Affairs manager and team around Traditional Owner engagements
• Manage invoice payments within the electronic procurement system (GEP) and Green Form requests and vendor set up for consultation and cultural heritage teams.
• Assist with general admin requests as required.

Consultation support:

• Responsible for coordinating all aspects of Environment Plan consultation data into the hub. This includes transcribing and recording all meetings with stakeholders, as well as transcribing text messages from Aboriginal stakeholders, preparing consultation summary reports and reviewing data.
• Managing the consultation inbox and ensuring timely responses including co-ordinating responses to other operator’s Environmental Plans (EPs)
• Accurately entering and maintaining contact details in Hub and relevant consultation tools.
• Assisting members of the team in the organisation of meetings, events, visits both internal and external to offices, including visits to regional Australia.
• Liaising with other parts of the company in managing queries including HES, Supply Chain, Asset Development and Capital Projects
• Please note that some travel may be required to attend Stakeholder Consultation meetings.

Cultural Heritage Survey and Logistical Support:

• Coordination of survey travel to site for Traditional Owner Survey participants and personnel
• Working closely with ABU flights team to secure flights and updating Survey participant profiles.
• Complete compliance requirements for site access
• Requesting and communicating travel arrangements with TO groups and management of the changes
• Building relationships with TO group staff to facilitate survey logistics and invoicing payments and tracking
• Managing the Survey roster spreadsheet for the coordination of survey planning and actions
• Support the Cultural Heritage and Site team with heritage supplies and arranging shipments to the site
• Organising VIP trips for TO Groups, involving charter transportation and coordination of the logistics with the Aviation team.


Excellent teamwork and verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role. The role will be required to support the Aboriginal Affairs team in supporting community and Traditional Owner consultation as part of the Environmental Plan approvals.
