NES Fircroft are delighted to be partnering with an International Energy client who are looking to add an Engineering Manager to work on their manufacturing improvement project based from Mumbai, India.
Our client the plant Operator are looking for an Engineering Manager to represent their team based in the Design contractor’s office during the Detailed Design phase of their project.
The role will be contract based for an initial 12 months duration and will require someone to be based in Mumbai for 2 weeks followed by 2 weeks remote working.
his role will suit an expatriate candidate who has excellent experience working for end user client overseeing delivery of Detailed Design works by external sub-contractors. Pending successful delivery of Detailed Design phase, the role has strong potential to follow on for a further 6 months during Construction phase on site in Gujarat, India.
A strong day rate will be on offer for suitable candidates.
Responsibilities overview
· Ensure the project is staffed with sufficient resources with correct competency
· Provide direction and leadership to the various discipline engineers and coordinate and balance the work.
· Accountability and responsibility for the engineering part of the project schedule, technical accuracy of project deliverables and control of manhour budgets across engineering disciplines.
· Implement and maintain the project change control procedure.
· Co-ordinate with other leaders to ensure that multidiscipline interfaces are properly addressed with resolution of technical issues in a timely manner.
· Ensure that work is executed in accordance with approved work processes using agreed tools and specifications,
· Understand the importance of, implement, control and resolve all aspects of interface management whether plant physical battery limits, external third-party physical interfaces, Site, Contractor or Licensor interfaces as required for the project.
· Co-ordinate between Construction, Procurement, Project Controls, etc.
· Review and approve technical part of contract variations.
· Review and Provide input to monthly reports
Authority
· Relevant engineering Degree
· Minimum 10 years of Project Experience
· Knowledge of European, American and International standards applicable to refinery and petrochemical industries
· Ability to apply in-depth skills and broad knowledge to address complex problems and non-standard situations.
· Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.
· Capable of explaining difficult concepts and able to persuade others to adopt a point of view.
· Experience of leading and motivating teams
