The Fabrication Manager reports to the EPCI Manager and is accountable for the management and delivery of the fabrication scope (Package 1 and Package 2) related to the Offshore Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) Contract. The Contract has a value of circa 1.5 Bn USD. The scope of the infrastructure to be engineered, procured, fabricated and installed under the contract can be summarized as; export pipelines (gas, 22in rigid pipelines), Service line (MEG, 8in and 6in rigid pipelines), rigid jumpers, flexible jumpers, manifolds (and piles), umbilicals, PLETs / ILTs structures (and foundations), sleepers, mattresses, flying leads and flexible pipe jumpers.

At peak the Company Team reporting to the Fabrication Manager is expected to be in excess of 8 full time positions working in the fabrication yard located within Egypt. Significant fabrication activities will be undertaken by the MTV consortium for the fabrication scope through a subcontract with Petrojet. Over 80x structures (and pipeline jumpers / tie-in spools) will be fabricated under the responsibility of Fabrication Manager, these include; PLETs, ILTs and valve skids.

The Fabrication Manager shall assume full responsibility for delivery of the fabrication scope working in conjunction with his counterparts in the MTV Consortium. The job holder is expected to ensure that a robust fit for purpose fabrication scope is delivered by MTV in line with agreed execution plans, technical requirements, and Project HSEQ requirements. Day to day the incumbent is expected to ensure the readiness and preparedness of MTV for conduct of fabrication activities and assess, manage and control the ongoing fabrications. On time loadout and transport of fully completed fabrications is a key performance indicator for this position.

Normally rotational at the fabrication yard in Egypt the Fabrication Manager shall be expected to make short missions to other project locations.

Activities
•            Provide project management and leadership of the Fabrication Team during all project phases.
•            Monitor, review and manage all facets of work within the fabrication scope of work to ensure that schedule, cost / budget, technical, quality and HSES requirements are, as a minimum, met or improved upon.
•            Establish a Fabrication Team organisation (with organisation chart and mob / demob plan) matched to the relevant project phase and ensure that resources are identified, mobilized and demobilized in accordance with the plan.
•            Ensure appropriate processes / ways of working are established and implemented appropriate to the work activities being undertaken.
•            Define, monitor, and manage work tasks with external consultants and contractors as required.
•            Ensure that all fabrication scope work activities are performed in compliance with project technical requirements and fit for purpose.
•            Provide leadership in identification and resolution of detailed fabrication scope interface issues, in conjunction with managers / senior discipline engineers, in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
•            Provide leadership within fabrication scope work activities for all HSSE performance and compliance including monitoring of performance, implementation of corrective measures for performance issues and pro-active implementation of schemes / activities to improve upon good performance.
•            Provide leadership in Quality performance and compliance across fabrication scope work activities. Ensure that all fabrication scope work activities are performed in compliance with a high regard to Quality Assurance and Control.

Context
The subsea field will be developed via 18 subsea wells, 7-production manifolds, 1-MEG manifold, 3 x 22in trunk lines, a 6in and 8in MEG lines, 18 x 10in in-field flowlines, 2 x 4in in-field MEG lines, associated ILTs and PLETs for all pipelines and flowlines, 25 control modules, 4 onshore umbilicals, 2 main tie-back umbilicals, 5 in-field umbilicals, 12 UTA assemblies, 189 electro hydraulic flying leads, 48 x 10” flexible jumpers, rigid jumpers and spools.

Accountabilities
•            Management of fabrication scope delivery and Fabrication Team during the project execution phase.
•            Safe and on time delivery of the fabrication scope of work within the EPCI Contract whilst ensuring a high level of quality consistent with a project design life of 20 years.
•            Ensure compliance with Company HSE requirements within all work activities.

Qualifications/Experience required
•            Minimum of 15 years experience in management of major fabrication workscopes and proven team leadership / management skill set, minimum of 20 years relevant track record in oil and gas fabrication activities.
•            Experienced leader, able to assess and analyse a fabrication work package, contractor capabilities and challenge the robustness of execution plans. 
•            Fluency in the English language and capable to represent the project in front of all stakeholders in a professional and organized manner
•            Secondary schooling level qualifications.
