NES Fircroft is partnered with a world leader in mining who is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner for an initial 6-month contract position based on site located in their head officed in Brisbane
Reporting to the Superintendent  you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating work plans for Field equipment in alignment with 1SAP work management processes and program requirements.

You will play a key role in delivering detailed rolling 12-week plans, with a focus on minimising impacts to the mine plan while meeting project schedules.
This role is ideal for someone who values simplification, is systems- and process-oriented, and wants to exercise people management skills in a peer-led team environment.

About the role
Main job responsibilities will include but not limited to:
  • Create notifications and work orders for approved scopes of work.
  • Plan to a high standard, aligned with the rolling major events calendar.
  • Create required parts demands and coordinate with the inventory planner and vendors.
  • Develop SAP master data to embed standard work packages into task lists.
  • Build detailed, machine-specific major outage Gantt charts at the task level.
  • Schedule third-party vendor tasks to align with maintenance schedules.
  • Lead planning review meetings and implement learnings from each session.

About You

As the successful candidate you will possess the following:
  • Strong systems orientation with the ability to manage high volumes of work accurately.
  • Process-driven with a passion for identifying improvements and efficiencies.
  • Knowledge of planning and scheduling processes and/or logistics coordination.
  • Awareness of cost management and forecasting processes.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
