Duration: 12 months
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday  7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (On-site)
Hourly Rate: $35 – $40/hr

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Material Planner to join our team in Houston. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating material requirements to ensure timely and efficient execution of production jobs. You will play a key role in aligning resources, managing job schedules, and supporting operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain job induction plans aligned with available resources and workload to meet customer want dates.
  • Monitor and respond to planning-related queries; collect, analyze, and report on job progress data.
  • Analyze process data to assess capability, identify deviations from the production plan, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the Forecasting & Planning (F&P) team to align shop volumes with production plans.
  • Lead daily production meetings, document minutes, track action items, and participate in repair execution reviews.
  • Update ERP systems with job order information and ensure accurate job status tracking across stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal and external customers to negotiate changes to job completion dates.
  • Work with engineering and operations teams to optimize spare parts ordering and shop machinery utilization.
  • Ensure timely availability of consumables and spare parts by coordinating with materials and operations teams.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma/GED with at least 3 years of experience in materials planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all organizational levels.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
  • Familiarity with gas turbine manufacturing procedures is a plus.
