Role Overview
  • Position: Mechanical/Piping Engineer
  • Location: Hassi Berkine, Algeria 
  • Rotation: 28/28 days, 12-hour shifts in desert conditions 

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide mechanical engineering support for static equipment, piping, HVAC, and rotating equipment (compressors, pumps).
  • Act as technical authority for in mechanical discipline.
  • Lead and sponsor mechanical-related projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Develop scopes of work, review design calculations, drawings, and vendor data.
  • Participate in FEED, EPC, procurement, fabrication, testing, commissioning, and start-up.
  • Ensure compliance with codes, standards, QA/QC processes, and Algerian regulations.
  • Handle technical bid evaluations, vendor selection, and factory acceptance testing.
  • Support safety and design reviews, cost control, and project reporting.
Qualifications
  • Degree: BSc/BEng in Mechanical or related engineering discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years in Oil & Gas, with detailed engineering of rotating/static equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes, standards, and mechanical/piping software (e.g., CAESAR II).
  • Full lifecycle project experience (design basis → FEED → EPC).
  • Excellent technical, planning, and communication skills.
  • English proficiency; French preferred.
