- Position: Mechanical/Piping Engineer
- Location: Hassi Berkine, Algeria
- Rotation: 28/28 days, 12-hour shifts in desert conditions
Key Responsibilities
- Provide mechanical engineering support for static equipment, piping, HVAC, and rotating equipment (compressors, pumps).
- Act as technical authority for in mechanical discipline.
- Lead and sponsor mechanical-related projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
- Develop scopes of work, review design calculations, drawings, and vendor data.
- Participate in FEED, EPC, procurement, fabrication, testing, commissioning, and start-up.
- Ensure compliance with codes, standards, QA/QC processes, and Algerian regulations.
- Handle technical bid evaluations, vendor selection, and factory acceptance testing.
- Support safety and design reviews, cost control, and project reporting.
- Degree: BSc/BEng in Mechanical or related engineering discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years in Oil & Gas, with detailed engineering of rotating/static equipment.
- Strong knowledge of industry codes, standards, and mechanical/piping software (e.g., CAESAR II).
- Full lifecycle project experience (design basis → FEED → EPC).
- Excellent technical, planning, and communication skills.
- English proficiency; French preferred.
