Role Description

- Oversee the full MEP design lifecycle from concept through to commissioning
- Lead coordination between mechanical, electrical, and public health disciplines, ensuring seamless integration with architectural and structural elements
- Manage external consultants and internal design teams to deliver compliant, resilient, and cost-effective solutions
- Ensure designs meet international standards and local Portuguese regulations
- Drive the implementation of DfMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly) principles
- Support procurement and construction teams with technical input and design clarifications
- Maintain design schedules, risk registers, and quality assurance documentation
- Collaborate with BIM teams to ensure accurate and timely model development
- Engage with client representatives and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals
- Lead technical reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering
- Chartered Engineer status or equivalent experience
- Proven track record in delivering large-scale data centre projects
- Strong understanding of mission-critical systems including HVAC, LV/MV power distribution, UPS, generators, and fire protection
- Experience working in EPCM environments with high-speed project delivery
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM coordination tools
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in English; Portuguese language skills are a plus
- Willingness to travel regularly to site
