About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Piping Engineer to join a leading international engineering organization specializing in offshore and energy projects. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering work across the full scope of piping design and materials engineering, ensuring compliance with project specifications, budgets, and schedules.

You will report to the Lead (Project) Engineer, providing updates on progress, challenges, and potential risks. The position involves close coordination with multidisciplinary teams, clients, vendors, and certification authorities to ensure timely and effective project execution.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop basic and detailed designs for process piping systems on offshore production and mooring facilities (e.g. FPSOs, SPM systems).

  • Prepare specifications for piping materials, valves, and special components.

  • Review vendor documentation and engage with suppliers to ensure technical compliance.

  • Participate in HAZID and design review sessions and support client and third-party approvals.

  • Review fabrication and construction drawings, providing clarifications to site teams as needed.

  • Identify technical risks and communicate progress and concerns to project management.

    Your Profile
  • We’re looking for a proactive communicator who takes ownership, works independently, and consistently delivers high-quality results.

    You should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or Technical College qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

  • Around 5 years of relevant experience in piping materials engineering.

  • Strong knowledge of piping materials, equipment, and pipe stress analysis, with a solid understanding of piping design principles.

  • Experience in the oil & gas industry, either with operating companies or engineering contractors.

  • Familiarity with relevant international design codes and standards.

  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

  • Practical experience in piping materials engineering during both basic and detailed design project phases.
