Job Title: Project Controls Coordinator IV (PCC)
Overview:
The Project Controls Coordinator IV is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of project controls procedures for capital construction projects exceeding $100MM annually. This role integrates cost and schedule functions and ensures quality control across all project controls deliverables. Assigned to highly complex, multi-year projects, the PCC plays a key role in supporting project execution and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities: Project Controls Development & Maintenance
  • Lead the creation and upkeep of project cost control deliverables in alignment with company policies and best practices.
  • Establish and manage the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to support effective cost control and stakeholder reporting.

Cost Management & Reporting
  • Collect inputs for cost estimates, establish control budgets, and monitor incurred costs and commitments.
  • Conduct forecasting, variance analysis, earned value analysis, and prepare cost reports for stakeholders.
  • Generate and present timely, accurate reports including:
  • Cost Reports & Variance Analysis
  • Cash Flow Reports & Variance Analysis
  • Schedule Variance Analysis
  • Project Change Management & Contingency Logs
  • Monthly Project Status Reports

Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination
  • Collaborate with project schedulers and field controls analysts to ensure alignment in reporting progress and changes.
  • Engage stakeholders to review costs, forecasts, and commitments.
  • Participate in project team, vendor, and stakeholder meetings to stay informed of scope, cost, schedule, and progress changes.
  • Strategic Prioritization & Communication
  • Prioritize multiple competing tasks effectively, adjusting based on departmental and strategic objectives.
  • Liaise with PMO, Capital Assets, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across the Major Projects business unit and beyond.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Provide feedback and recommendations for improving project cost management processes.
  Qualifications:
  • PMP or equivalent certification (preferred but not required).
  • Experience in midstream pipeline and facility projects.
  • Strong understanding of project cost control best practices and Earned Value Management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data reconciliation.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with internal teams, vendors, and service providers.
Basic Requirements: Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in project controls or cost management.
