Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Contract Project Manager with a strong background in managing small to mid-cap capital projects within the chemical or petrochemical industries. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of relevant experience and a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget. An engineering degree is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage capital projects through all stage-gated phases from concept to completion.
  • Oversee third-party engineering firms to ensure alignment with project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Develop and control project scope, cost estimates, and schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) protocols, including Management of Change (MOC).
  • Manage contracts, including negotiation, execution, and performance tracking.
  • Provide field construction oversight and ensure safe, efficient execution of work.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, engineering, procurement, and safety.
Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of project management experience in chemical or petrochemical capital projects.
  • Strong understanding of stage-gated project processes.
  • Experience managing third-party engineering and construction teams.
  • Familiarity with PSM and MOC procedures.
  • Proficient in scope, cost, and schedule development and control.
  • Contract and field construction management experience.
  • Engineering degree preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
