Pay: $17-$20/hr + 8% shift differential (Overtime required)
Schedule: Mon-Sat either day shift (5 am - 5:30 pm) OR night shift (5pm - 5:30am)
OVERVIEW: Inspects products manufactured or processed to ensure compliance with contract specifications and conformance to specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, and hardness by performing the following duties

OVERVIEW: Inspects products manufactured or processed to ensure compliance with contract specifications and conformance to specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, and hardness by performing the following duties
Major Responsibilities
- Inspects product to determine compliance with order specifications, company's quality control system for compliance with legal requirements, and shipping and packing facilities for conformity to specified standards.
- Approval or rejection of product and writes report of examinations.
- Computes angles, radii, and other unspecified dimensions of workpiece.
- Measures angular dimensions, radii, contours, clearances, thread lead, and other specifications.
- Tests parts for hardness.
- Inspects and verifies accuracy of gauges and measuring instruments for conformance to specifications.
- Measures surface finish of part.
- Writes report regarding inspection and testing results.
- Prepares labor card(s), job ticket(s), and other reports, forms, records and related paperwork for assigned area.
- Ensures established productivity standards are obtained.
- Interacts with other employees in a polite, courteous and productive manner.
- Responsible for maintaining a neat, clean and orderly work area.
- Responsible for observing all Good Manufacturing Practices and safety practices ensuring all machine guards and other safety equipment or devices are in place and in good working order before and during operation.
- Insure all required personal protection equipment is always monitored and used
- Any other duties of a similar or lesser nature as required.
- Education High School graduate or equivalent; or one to three years related experience and/or training.
- Ability to read, analyzes, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Knowledge of Word Processing software; Design software; Order processing systems; Manufacturing software and Database software.
