Woodside Energy is seeking a Quality Manager for a 12-month contract with potential to extend.

This role sits within the Corporate Quality Group initially, supporting delivery across Woodside’s global portfolio. The Quality Manager will drive quality management strategies and controls across the full project lifecycle, including pre-Execute and Execute phases, corporate process governance, and company-wide QMS improvements.

The successful candidate will:
  • Support capability demand for pre-Execute projects, corporate process governance, and QMS improvements on a global scale.
  • Lead the development and implementation of quality strategies and FEED Quality Management Plans for major development opportunities (onshore, offshore, subsea, wells, major brownfields).
  • Oversee EPC contractor evaluations, risk management strategies, engineering quality and surveillance planning, supplier/procurement package surveillance, construction surveillance, and completions/startup quality plans.
  • Support the adoption and development of leading quality practices, tools, and processes, with a focus on engineering quality surveillance, supplier technical and quality evaluation, package management system development, and portfolio data-driven performance reporting.
  • Ensure cross-company process verification for quality in design, procurement, fabrication, and construction across multiple contractors and delivery lines (including global wells, major projects, and operations).
  • Undertake audits of delivery lines (Asset teams, Projects, Contractors and suppliers) against internal and contractual requirements.

Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Quality Manager / Director on large, global oil & gas projects for the full life cycle.
  • Experience in engineering delivery process, quality performance measures, assurance, and verification on major capital projects.
  • Leadership skills supporting both direct and indirect teams.
  • Strong communication skills with senior stakeholders and contractor leadership.
  • Demonstrated skills in data-driven assurance and verification, and adoption of supporting tools/systems.
  • Awareness/experience in managing class/regulatory compliance approval processes globally.
  • Operations experience in Materials Master Data and Vendor document management, major turnarounds- preferred
 Qualification Required:
  • Minimum 20+ years’ experience in quality management within oil & gas or major projects.
  • Engineering degree (preferred)
  • Lead Auditor certification (essential).
