Deputy GM / REFINERY ADVISOR  Refinery Specialist will assist General Manager to address all technical issues related to the Operation, Manager, Engineering and HSE Departments to ensure safe and efficient refinery operation. Refinery Specialist will collaborate and communicate with Departments Managers and Line Managers as required to discuss issues related to each discipline and provide technical guidance to resolve issues. In addition, Refinery Specialist will coordinate all activities and functions with in Refinery and Outside as needed during absence of Refinery General manager. Priority should be focused to provide sound technical assistant to the General Manager as required during normal operation as well during any emergency or unforeseen eventualities. 3. Main Tasks & Accountabilities • Refinery Specialist shall provide sound technical support and assistance to the General Manager toensure smooth and efficient operation of areas but not limited to the following areas:- Distillation and Separation Process- Naphtha Hydrotreating Technology- Semi Regenerative Reforming and Isomerization Technologies- Liquid Liquid Sweetening Process- Utility and OSBL activities• Maintain intimate familiarity with day-to-day Refinery operation by participating daily meeting withoperation, maintenance and engineering disciplines and provide necessary guidance and support toachieve daily target.• Maintain intimate familiarity with OSBL Activities by performing following activities- Crude Oil unloading- Product Loading- Review Lab analysis and product certificates- Review and Address any Issues or Bottlenecks in coordinating with the OSBL Manager• Maintain intimate familiarity and Follow up Daily Maintenance Activities in collaboration with theMaintenance and Line Managers.• Review and Coordinate with the Engineering Team with regard to Inspection Activities, ModificationJobs, MOCs’ status and any other engineering activities that require specialist expertise.• Participate Regular PTW meeting and follow up PTW listing maintenance activities.• Actively involved with Maintenance and Engineering Team to review turnaround work scope, schedule,Materials and Spares Availability, other resources as identified during review process.• Maintain Intimate Familiarity with Production and Maintenance Team while performingshutdown/turnaround/catalyst work/start-up of the process units. Familiarity includes review allprocedures and monitoring activities performed by production and maintenance team.• Follow up and Review PR (Purchase Request) initiated by the respective department. In addition,provide technical input to the PR initiator to incorporate best practices and thoughts.• Work closely with the respective departments and participate regular meeting for the preparation of theRefinery Annual Budget.• Follow up and Track HSE activities of the refinery. Watch Emergency Response and Fire Drillsorganized by HSE as critique.
