Position: Senior Flow Assurance /Well performance Engineer
Location: 6-12 months France (Residential) , with relocation to Luanda for asset start-up and operations (Residential)
Start date : ASAP
Duration : 12 month renewable contract
Role Overview This role supports field operations through technical expertise in flow assurance and well performance. It involves preparing operational procedures, supporting start-up and ramp-up activities, and optimizing production and injection systems. The engineer will also lead simulation studies, maintain monitoring tools, and ensure well integrity and performance.

The engineer will also lead simulation studies, maintain monitoring tools, and ensure well integrity and performance.
Key Responsibilities Well Performance
- Prepare start-up procedures and ramp-up strategies for production, water, and gas injection wells.
- Develop and deploy tools for well monitoring and analysis (e.g., DOF, GAP/PROSPER).
- Perform prognosis and update well potentials based on tests and network constraints.
- Validate well potentials and production targets in collaboration with reservoir and drilling teams.
- Support production/injection optimization and contribute to annual production budgets.
- Ensure well integrity and accurate production/injection data.
- Diagnose underperforming wells and propose corrective actions.
- Provide input for well interventions and quantify expected outcomes.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with internal rules and standards.
- Provide operational and technical support through flow assurance studies.
- Prepare documentation for start-up and operations (e.g., hydrate prevention, pigging procedures).
- Address flow issues related to deposits (e.g., sand, asphaltenes) with production chemistry teams.
- Develop and maintain flow assurance monitoring tools (e.g., OLGA, LEDA, OCW).
- Optimize methanol consumption and monitor subsea system performance.
- Lead simulation studies for production optimization and facility modifications.
- Share best practices across assets and maintain flow assurance dossiers.
- Promote a strong HSE culture and ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards.
- Support environmental management and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Ensure technical compliance with safety barriers and facility modifications.
- Education: Engineering degree or equivalent.
- Experience: 15–20 years in the oil & gas industry, including:
- Minimum 5 years in flow assurance engineering.
- Minimum 5 years in well performance roles on operated assets.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Deepwater development, subsea systems, thermo-hydraulic multiphase flow.
- Production chemistry, PVT and flow simulations.
- Strong operational and analytical capabilities.
