Senior Project Engineer | Monday–Friday | SoR

Roster: Monday to Friday
Contract: to March 2026 with likely extension
Rate: up to $135/hr
 
About the Role
Join a global leader in lithium production during an exciting ramp-up phase. As a Senior Project Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering brownfield projects.
 
Reporting to the Project Manager, you’ll lead projects through the full lifecycle—from initiation and design through to commissioning and handover—ensuring alignment with the company's governance framework and strategic objectives.

What You’ll Need
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering
  • 7+ years’ project management experience in mining, resources, or major industrial sectors
  • Experience in downstream processing/chemical plants
  • Proven track record in brownfield environments, including study management, engineering, construction, commissioning, and operations readiness
  • Knowledge of Australian engineering and construction practices
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to manage risk and deliver projects safely and efficiently
  • Familiarity with digital technologies in project delivery
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute project strategies and plans
  • Lead projects through all phases: initiation, design, construction, commissioning, and handover
  • Coordinate interfaces between engineering, execution, and operations teams
  • Manage procurement, cost, and schedule performance
  • Drive governance compliance and risk management
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment
  • Engage and manage key vendors and stakeholders
