Job title: Senior/Lead Project Engineer
Location: Aberdeen

Description:
A leading offshore engineering firm is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join its expanding team. This role offers the opportunity to apply technical expertise across the full project lifecycle—from tendering to offshore execution—while mentoring others and driving continuous improvement in engineering delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop method statements, task plans, and procedures aligned with project standards.
• Mentor and support Project Engineers, fostering professional growth and technical confidence.
• Identify and manage required engineering services, both internal and external, to ensure successful project delivery.
• Contribute to the refinement of engineering processes and standard practices.
• Capture and integrate lessons learned into future planning and execution.
• Provide commercial insight into engineering products and services to support tenders and project decisions.
• Seek opportunities to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness while maintaining operational reliability.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Offshore Managers, and Shift Supervisors to optimize team performance and project outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Subsea, Mechanical, Marine, or Naval Engineering—or equivalent experience and training.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in subsea engineering, ROV operations, and project execution involving new ROV tooling.
Skills & Expertise
• Strong technical acumen with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective mentoring and collaboration skills.
• Growth mindset with clear and confident communication.
• Familiarity with engineering and HSE standards and legislation.
• Demonstrated understanding of offshore operations and subsea engineering.
• Experience with ROV-related subsea projects is advantageous.
