Job Title: SSHE Coordinator III
Location: Carlsbad, NM
Schedule: Monday–Friday with every third weekend on rotation (5/2 schedule)
Daily Hours: 8–10 hours
Weekly Hours: 40–50 hours
Contract Length: 1 year, with potential for extension
Vehicle: Agency-provided truck
Primary Responsibilities Provide support for Safety, Security, Health, and Environmental (SSHE) processes across the business line. Assist in performance tracking and portfolio analysis. Work closely with the SSHE Supervisor to manage and enhance the SSHE program. Serve as the liaison for Regional SSHE Advisors and coordinate related activities.

Key Duties
- Develop and deliver SHE training for both plant personnel and contractors
- Establish systems for safety plan implementation, including tools, data flow, analysis, and reporting
- Create and manage safety communication strategies
- Design and implement safety incentive programs
- Lead development of Waste Management, Environmental, and Industrial Hygiene plans for turnarounds
- Review contractor safety plans for compliance and effectiveness
- Participate in job-specific risk assessments
- Execute the safety program and monitor its effectiveness
- Compile and report SHE statistics
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Prior experience in construction safety roles (experience within the same group is a plus)
