The Advanced SIS NDE Specialist is responsible for the technical execution and operational support of Specialist Inspection Services (SIS) using advanced Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) technologies. This role focuses on advanced ultrasonic testing (UT) methods, including Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) and Automated Ultrasonic Testing (AUT) Corrosion Mapping.
This position involves travel to client sites, manufacturing facilities, and offshore locations to perform inspections, support project requirements, and deliver expert technical services. Travel will primarily be domestic, with occasional international assignments.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced NDE inspections (PAUT, AUT Corrosion Mapping) on piping, pressure vessels, pipelines, and structural components in both onshore and offshore environments.
- Analyze and interpret inspection data to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Prepare and execute inspection jobs following detailed work instructions and specialized techniques.
- Collaborate with clients to understand project needs and deliver customized NDE solutions.
- Generate clear, concise technical reports and presentations of inspection findings.
- Maintain and manage inspection equipment, documentation, and quality control records.
- Pursue ongoing training to expand qualifications in conventional and advanced NDE methods.
- Mentor and train associate technicians through fieldwork, in-house sessions, and competency assessments.
- Perform ultrasonic examinations on various systems including onshore pipelines, plant piping, and offshore topside/subsea systems.
- Maintain logs and manage test sample acquisition requirements.
- Stay current with the capabilities and limitations of certified techniques and assist in procedure development and quality assurance.
- Support business development efforts through technical documentation, client engagement, and participation in industry events.
- Adhere to all health, safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Level I and II technicians in advanced ultrasonic methods.
- Ensure team compliance with client specifications and industry best practices.
- Adapt to challenging environments including confined spaces, elevated areas, and adverse weather conditions.
- Be available for extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet project deadlines.
- Perform additional duties as required to support organizational goals.
- Reports to the SIS Principal NDE Specialist.
- SNT-TC-1A compliant classroom training in UT and PAUT.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in advanced ultrasonic methods.
- Level II certification per ASNT-TC-1A or CP-189 in UT and PAUT.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain:
- Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC)
- Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET)
- SafeGulf Training
- Valid passport
- Rope Access Level 1 certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-standard NDE software.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
