Business Development Manager
Location: Monument, London
The Role
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our growing commercial team. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), you will combine analytical (approx. 40%) with client-facing business development (approx. 60%) skills to drive adoption of Quadrise’s technologies.
Your work will range from building economic models that demonstrate the value of our fuels, through to developing client relationships, supporting contract negotiations, and representing the company at industry events.
This is a hands-on role with exposure to board-level discussions and real responsibility from day one.

The Role

Key Responsibilities
- Economic & Commercial Analysis – Lead the development of robust economic models and case studies to demonstrate technical, financial, and environmental benefits for clients.
- Business Development – Lead the identification of new opportunities, partnerships, and markets to keep our project pipeline active. Build strong relationships with refineries, bunker terminals, power generators, and industrial users.
- Market Intelligence – Lead the tracking and analysis of market, pricing, legislative, and regulatory trends. Present insights to inform commercial strategy.
- Sales & Client Engagement – Present the company technology to prospective clients, industry partners, and at conferences. Support contract development and negotiation with the CCO.
- Collaboration – Work closely with colleagues in Operations, Research, and Finance to deliver successful client engagements, trials and ultimately commercial value.
- Representation – Act as an ambassador for the company at client sites, trials, and industry events.
Candidate Profile
Essential
- Degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Typically 4–8 years’ industrial experience in the downstream energy sector (we welcome applications from those with equivalent experience).
- Familiarity with refinery operations and downstream product flows.
- Strong commercial mindset with experience in economic modelling and pricing.
- Analytical, numerate, and methodical, with attention to detail and ownership of tasks.
- Strong communicator, able to present confidently to technical teams and senior stakeholders.
- Proven inter-personal skills, and a measure of cultural sensitivity.
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative, supportive team.
- Willingness to travel within UK and internationally.
- Right to work in the UK; able to commute to London office.
- Proficient in Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
Desirable
- Experience with marine fuels and/or biofuels.
- Previous exposure to conference presentations.
- Business-level Spanish.
