Job Description – Business Analyst (Thinkproject)

Our client is a leading European organization in the energy and infrastructure sector. They are currently delivering a portfolio of major offshore and onshore projects that play a key role in the transition toward a more sustainable energy system. These complex programs involve multiple stakeholders, contractors, and advanced digital tools for project execution and documentation.
Business Unit:
Within the large projects unit, the organization manages the full lifecycle of capital-intensive projects, from early development to commissioning. Given the scale and complexity of the ongoing portfolio, strong document and information management is essential.
Role overview:
We are looking for a Business Analyst to support the rollout and optimization of Thinkproject across a large project portfolio. The focus of this role is on capturing requirements, managing change requests, supporting testing activities, and ensuring effective use of the platform by project teams. You will work closely with document managers, controllers, and the vendor to make the tooling fit for purpose in a dynamic project environment.

- Define and refine document management requirements with end users.
- Log, track, and manage change requests related to Thinkproject.
- Execute testing of new features and changes together with project teams.
- Liaise with the vendor to ensure implementations meet business needs.
- Oversee system integration efforts and support user adoption.
- Communicate regularly with the product owner and report to management.
- Proactively manage your own planning and stakeholder engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of experience as a business analyst or similar, ideally in large infrastructure, capital project, or engineering environments.
- Background in software development (requirements gathering, testing, implementation).
- Knowledge of Thinkproject or other Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms (excluding SharePoint) is an advantage.
- Comfortable with Jira and Confluence.
- Professional proficiency in Dutch and English.
- Independent, structured worker with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects at once in a fast-changing environment.
- The assignment is temporary (maternity cover).
- The role is based in Arnhem, with flexibility to work from home and office (approx. two office days per week).
- Expected availability: full-time (40 hours per week).
- Two interview rounds: first with team members, second with management.
- A pre-employment screening (including VOG) is required before starting.
- Candidates must have a valid passport or ID.
