Construction Electrical Superintendent

Location: Botlekweg 127, Rotterdam-Botlek, Netherlands
Contract Duration: 12 months (initial)
Start Date: End of September 2025
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, full-time site-based
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Electrical Superintendent to oversee electrical construction activities on a major industrial project in Rotterdam-Botlek. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, high-quality, and timely execution of electrical works in alignment with project specifications and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise all electrical construction activities on site.
• Ensure strict adherence to site safety protocols and promote a strong safety culture.
• Conduct daily safety audits, toolbox talks, and field observations.
• Collaborate closely with the project quality department to implement and monitor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Issue daily discipline-specific reports covering safety, quality, contractor performance, and schedule impacts.
• Monitor contractor resources, equipment, and progress to ensure alignment with project timelines.
• Engage positively with field teams and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in mandatory onboarding and training programs, including Learnex modules.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in electrical construction supervision within the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
• Strong familiarity with the Botlek/Rotterdam region and local construction practices.
• Fully conversant in both English and Dutch.
• Valid VCA-VOL certification.
• Strong leadership, communication, and reporting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Additional construction-related certifications (e.g., First Aid, Fire Safety).

Additional Information:

• The role requires full-time presence on site; remote work is only permitted with prior approval.
• Daily reporting and compliance with project KPIs are mandatory.
• A 4-week notice period applies.
• Offer subject to reference checks and signed job description prior to start.
